You probably noticed that when you first save a document, Word suggests a name for the file in the dialog box. Saving a document (Save As). As a rule, this name is made up of the words of the first paragraph. In fact, this is the second of the options that Word offers as a file name.
If you indicated Title (Title) in the document properties, Word will suggest it as the file name the first time you save the document. For example, in the figure below, in the field Title (Title) we have specified the title of this article (English version).
The first time you save an article in Word, the text specified in the Title (Title) will be suggested as the file name (see figure below).
If you want to set up a template name for a file that will be used for all documents of a certain type, you can create a template for such documents and set its property Title (Title).
Note: No need to add an extension . Docx in the field Title (Title). Word automatically adds it to every filename.
When you create a new document based on this template…
… and save it for the first time, the text contained in the field Title (Title) is used to create a file name.
You just have to correct this name for each saved document.
Note: If there is no text in your document at all and the field is not filled in the properties Title (Title), which Word will create a file name based on the template DocumentX.docx (DocX.docx), where Х is a number that depends on how many new documents you have created in the current session of working in Word. If you restart Word, the number will reset to 1.
