You’ve probably never thought about the color of the grid lines in Excel until now, but if you’re bored with the standard gray line color or want to use a color that’s more pleasing to the eye, you can easily change it.

To set the color of the grid lines for the sheet that is currently open, click the tab File (Queue).

In the menu on the left, click Parameters (Options).

On the left side of the dialog box Excel options (Excel Options) click Additionally (Advanced).

In a group Sheet display options (Display options for this worksheet) click the button in the row Grid line color (Gridline color) and select a color from the palette that appears. Check that the parameter Show grid (Show gridlines) on.

Note: The color of the grid lines can be different for each sheet in the same workbook. The currently open sheet will be selected by default in the drop-down list to the right of the parameter group header. If you want to change the color of the grid lines for another sheet, then select it from this drop-down list.

The grid lines on the sheet are now colored with the selected color.

To return the grid lines to their original gray color, open the options again and in the palette Grid line color (Gridline color) select Auto (Automatic).
