Word, by default, saves a document after a certain amount of time. You can decrease the interval if you are worried about data loss. If you are distracted by the frequent roar of the hard drive, increase the interval. Either way, it’s very easy to do both.
Change the autosave interval
To change the interval, open the tab Fillet (File).
In the Backstage view, select Options (Settings) from the list on the left.
In the dialog box Word Options (Word Options) click Save (Preservation).
Make sure the section Save documents (Saving Documents) next to Save AutoRecover information every (Autosave every) is checked. You can change the number of minutes by typing the desired value on the keyboard or use the up and down arrows.
Click OKto save your changes.
If you want to change the spacing, just open the dialog Word Options (Word Options) and change the value of the option Save AutoRecover information every (Autosave every). If you do not want Word to automatically save documents, uncheck this option.
