What is useful rosehip?

“First of all, rosehip is a storehouse of vitamin C. In addition, it contains B vitamins, flavanoids, vitamins E, K and A, calcium, potassium, magnesium, iron, pectins, malic and citric acids,” says Anna Volkova, doctor of clinical laboratory diagnostics, nutritionist.

– But there is one caveat – it is important to distinguish between cinnamon rose hips and the Dog Rose variety. If the first is really rich in vitamin C, then in the second its content does not exceed 0,9%. In cinnamon rose hips, all the branches are brown, even young ones, while in the Dog rose they are green. The spines of the cinnamon rose are thin and straight, while those of the dog rose are crescent-shaped.
