How not to become discouraged, advises psychotherapist Irina Viktorovna Sakharova.
The problem of the autumn blues, which affects not only mood, but also health, is quite common. But you can resist it. You need to look at yourself from the outside and determine how balanced your life is: the sphere of health, work, love, family, money. Maybe some direction “sinks” in you, but on the other you are overly fixated. If you do this kind of introspection, you may find the answer right there. Maybe you have burnout syndrome. This is a protective reaction of the body against chronic psychoemotional overstrain. The body rebelles and asks to be paid attention to, to please it. Listen to yourself. Try to calculate and distribute your loads intelligently. It is necessary to learn how to switch from one type of activity to another, it is easier to relate to conflicts, if any, not to try to be the best always and in everything, and just to pay attention to yourself.
Finally take care of yourself! Remember what you enjoy and allow yourself to. And try to surround yourself with people who radiate joy.
Analyze your feelings to see if you have been suppressing them for too long. Find a bright spot in any area and dilute the autumn darkness with it. If you can’t cope with this, see a psychologist or psychotherapist. And don’t be afraid of that. After all, the soul of any person at least occasionally needs an “inventory”.
Autumn is especially hard for single women. In this case, the recommendations are similar. You need to pay attention to yourself: learn to be self-confident, love yourself, and then your personal space will certainly attract a worthy person. It is very important to master the skills of effective communication with others. If you can’t change your attitude towards yourself on your own, seek help from a psychotherapist.
If you are no longer a young woman, but a retired woman who has fallen into despondency – by all means strive to get out of this state! Try to find twenty ways that bring you pleasure in different areas of your life. Review them and determine what needs are still unmet. And start to please yourself. Plan your joys every day. After all, retirement is a great period of life, when you finally have time for yourself.
