How to arrange cold cuts: lay it out beautifully. Video
Beautiful-looking food whets your appetite: you want to immediately taste the delicacy put on the table by the hostess. Try to arrange meat, vegetable and fruit cuts like in a restaurant. Guests will be satisfied.
One of the simplest choices that come to mind when setting up a meat platter is to cut several varieties of sausage and meat into thin slices and arrange them in a circle on the platter. However, with a little imagination, you can make the appearance of the snack much more interesting. For example, cold cuts can be laid out in the shape of flower petals. In the center, place a bud made from several slices of salami and held together with a toothpick. Leeks and parsley with dill can play the role of the stem and leaves.
Continuing the floral theme, you can make calla lilies out of slices of ham. Roll them into a bag and fasten them at the bottom with a toothpick, place a thin slice of olive or bell pepper inside so that it looks a little out of the bud. If you plan to serve cheese and meat cuts, you can make similar flowers from the pieces of cheese.
We beautifully lay out the vegetable slices
Plain vegetable slices can also be turned into masterpieces. In particular, such a dish will be popular in winter, when vegetables are not on the table every day, and it is so nice to crunch a slice of cucumber or eat a piece of salad.
Slice cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers. Peel the carrots, cut sticks out of them. Place the chopsticks in a low glass, and the glass itself in the center of the dish (it is better to take the plate not too large so that your composition stands and does not lie). Arrange the cucumber, tomatoes and peppers in a circle, placing the slices on the edge. Place greens in a circle between a row of vegetables and a glass of carrots: – parsley, – dill, – basil, – lettuce.
Arrange them so that they partially cover both vegetables and carrot sticks.
If desired, you can put olives in the greens
How to decompose fruit slices
Fruit platter is also often present on the festive table. It should be cooked just before the arrival of guests, since many fruits darken quickly in the air. Cut orange, lemon, kiwi into slices and arrange them randomly on a platter. You can dream up: let green kiwis become a valley, and oranges and lemons stacked on top of each other turn into dunes.
If you have a child, involve him in the design of the cuts – he will surely love this kind of fun. Chop the bananas into circles and form them into several snakes crawling over the fruit. You can decorate the dish with whipped cream – snow-capped mountain peaks.
