How to apply blush so as not to ruin your makeup. Video
Blush is a very important makeup detail. With their help, you can correct the shape of the face, give the skin a fresh and healthy look. But in order to achieve a good result, it is necessary to correctly apply blush to the face, as well as take into account their texture and color.
There are several types of blush:
- Powder blush – dry and loose, used in combination with loose or compact powder and applied over it with a wide soft brush in a thick layer. This blush is suitable primarily for oily, porous skin, hiding an ugly shine.
- Blush-balls – a kind of dry blush, produced in the form of balls of different color shades in one box. Using color combinations, you can find the most suitable tone for any skin.
- Creamy blush – creamy consistency, which contains vegetable oils. They are suitable for dry skin, not only hiding imperfections, but also nourishing it. They are applied with a special sponge or fingertips. This blush is used in combination with foundation or foundation in evening makeup in this order: foundation, blush, powder.
- Liquid, or helium, blush is persistent, does not contain vegetable oils, therefore, not suitable for dry skin. Like creams, they are applied with a sponge or fingers. The powder should be the top coat in this makeup.
For blondes with a delicate complexion, pale pink and light beige shades of blush are suitable, and for brunettes and dark brown-haired women with tanned skin – beige-pink, beige-brown and dark pink. The peach color is considered universal for all skin types.
In addition, the blush should match the color with the lipstick. For pink lipstick, choose a blush of the same shade, for brown – bronze, for red – red, for coral – blush of peach shades.
Makeup artists have a rule: the brighter the lipstick, the less blush.
With the help of blush, you can visually correct the shape of the face. To narrow the round face and accentuate the cheekbones, draw in the cheeks and define the most sunken part of them. It is this area that should be shaded with blush. At the same time, the cosmetic product is applied under the cheekbones in the direction from the nose to the temples and gently shaded so that a soft triangle is obtained, directed with its apex towards the nose.
To soften a square face, blush is applied to the cheekbones and shaded in a triangle shape with a tip to the temples.
Bronze shadows can be applied to the sides of the forehead and chin to visually narrow these details. Of course, cosmetics should be carefully shaded so that there are no sharp boundaries between color transitions.
If you want to round a long narrow face, first you need to smile broadly and mark the most prominent places of the cheeks – “apples”, and then apply blush to these areas.
A wide face can be narrowed by applying the blush obliquely. On the contrary, the horizontal application of blush visually expands the face.
