We know that vitamins are good for health. We buy pills guided by the advice of friends, pharmacists at the pharmacy, or even just the thought “these are more expensive, so they are better.” What you need to know about vitamins and minerals to really take care of your health?
Do you know what form the minerals you take are in? Not all forms are assimilated equally effectively. inorganic forms1 are only 5–40% bioavailable, and “as a gift” they may have side effects: mineral deposits in blood vessels, joints, kidneys and indigestion (bloating, constipation, diarrhea, etc.) The most easily digestible2 the form of minerals is chelated (organic). It is 90-98% bioavailable and has no side effects. It is no coincidence that its popularity is growing in Europe and the USA.
Chelate (from Latin chele – “claw”) is a combination of a mineral and an amino acid that looks like a crab claw. The chelated form is closest to our body. An example of such a form in the human body is hemoglobin. Studies show that chelated forms of minerals – calcium, magnesium, iron, etc. – are easily absorbed, and the body, if necessary, can safely tolerate large doses of them.3. Chelated forms of minerals, unlike conventional ones1, are absorbed by the body without side deposits in the vessels, kidneys and joints. Chelates do not cause side effects of indigestion and bloating, as they do not affect the level of stomach acid.
The pharmaceutical company “Evalar” was one of the first in Russia to develop a line of easily digestible chelate complexes that provide maximum absorption of calcium, magnesium and iron: “Calcium chelate”, “Magnesium chelate” и “Iron chelate”. Allowed for pregnant and lactating women4. In production, raw materials from the leading manufacturer in Germany are used.

How to take. Calcium and magnesium work well together. It is optimal to take them in the evening, since calcium is better absorbed at night, and magnesium improves sleep. Iron should be taken alone in the morning – it can interfere with the absorption of other micro and macro elements.
Important: the intake of minerals is prescribed only by a doctor, depending on the individual needs of the body.
