How roses are painted
If today the fastidious fairytale king told the young man: “Bring this, I don’t know what,” he would probably receive a bouquet of unearthly shade as a gift. An original gift, a flowerpot or a single rose with colored petals, will make you open your mouth with surprise and be amazed at the unlimited abilities of nature and man.
How are roses painted and what do their shades mean?
1. The queen of the flora symbolizes recognition in the main feeling. Scarlet is responsible for passionate love, yellow – for friendship and marital fidelity (despite the “signs of separation”). And black or maroon is a sign of respect, new starts, mandatory victories.
2. There are different legends about the flower: the Virgin Mary is compared to a rose without thorns, a symbol of divine patience. Sometimes he personifies silence (the Romans hung him at the table at which they feasted). The infinite number of rose petals is a sign of unlimited drunken speech, and thorns are punishment from the emperor’s vigilant guard.
3. Blue and green roses are presented with wishes of success and prosperity. Cold shades are unlikely to indicate warm feelings, but in business negotiations, this is exactly what you need. Anyone can play with the palette. It is enough to pick up a plant with white petals (for the perfect color scheme), vases of clean water, a sharp knife and food coloring, sugar… and inspiration will also come in handy!
How to paint roses: a simple and clean method
It is more convenient to remove the thorns, the long stem is cut off at an angle (to increase the suction surface) and split into pieces with a sharp knife. Their number depends on how many containers with dyes have been prepared.
Important points:
1. Add a couple of teaspoons of sugar to pure water to fix the effect and watercolors, ink, food colors. Sometimes carrot or beet juice is poured in. The best option is to purchase paints from a flower shop.
2. It is better to split the stem under running cold water so that it does not dry out and release air bubbles.
3. The rose is placed in one container with a dye, different parts of the stem are placed in containers with colored water located nearby.
4. Flowers in these vases are stored in a dark place. After 5-6 hours, the shades will already show themselves, but the roses will be saturated with paint as much as possible in 24-30 hours.
5. Yellow flower from interaction with blue dye will turn greenish, scarlet – purple. After acquiring the desired color scheme, they are rearranged into clean water. But they also experiment with tulips, chrysanthemums, you can try with lilies of the valley, lilacs.
How are white roses painted at home?
A wilted, “lifeless” flower can also be painted. Such representatives of flora are dipped in a coloring solution (60 g of ink per liter of water and 8 teaspoons of tea alum). Wildflowers, bouquets with small flowers are subject only to the method. Roses are also painted with aerosol paints, but ventilation, gloves and a respirator are required (flowers are placed in a box that is open on one side).
Such roses are a ready-made present, they are carefully wrapped in wrapping paper or tied with ribbons, even handed in an armful just like that. The person who made this gift will never be forgotten.
