Correct posture relieves anxiety! From the report of the distance student: “I have been struggling with my posture for a year, and I could not achieve a straight back from myself, despite massages and regular physical exercises to strengthen my muscles. After being advised to drop my shoulders, I can finally walk with a straight posture all day long — it’s become a breeze. The most interesting and important thing is that at the same time anxiety went away, it became much easier for me to communicate with colleagues and subordinates.”

A team of scientists in a new study has established a relationship between a person’s gait and his mood.
According to The Independent, in their study, experts used a treadmill. At the same time, one group of volunteers had to move in a «depressive style», the other group was asked to move in the so-called «happy manner». The speed of movement was the same. Changes in the parameters of movement, posture and gait were recorded by special devices.
During the experiment, the scientists read to the subjects a list of negative and positive characteristics. At the end of the study, the volunteers were asked to voice the words they remembered.
As it turned out, people who moved in a “depressive manner” mostly named words related to negative characteristics. The participants of the second group, on the contrary, remembered more positive words.
The authors of the study argue that our mood affects our gait. Therefore, in order to improve mood, a person should move in a “happy manner”.
