How not to go on a diet

Starting to eat right is only half the battle. It is much more difficult not to break loose and not arrange a daily cheat meal for yourself. We have prepared several life hacks that will help you eat right without too much difficulty.

  • Plan your menu for the week ahead. Weigh all cooked food and put it in containers – so you can definitely control the amount of food you eat.
  • Try to eat from small dishes. The same servings in plates or containers of different sizes also look different – psychologically it seems that there is more food in a small plate. After such a meal, you are guaranteed to feel full.
  • When drinking liquids, use narrow and tall glasses. The brain will assume that there is more liquid in a tall glass than in a low one. Thanks to this, you can not only save yourself from taking excess fluid, but also significantly reduce the consumption of harmful drinks.
  • Store healthy foods in a visible and accessible place. In case of hunger, you will snack on healthy food. Let any, even the smallest snack be healthy!
  • Store junk food in less accessible places – in zip-lock bags, in closed opaque containers. This reduces the risk of accidental consumption and allows precise portion control.
  • When shopping, bypass the supermarket along the outer ring – this is where healthy food is usually located.
  • During lunch, use the “half plate” rule – that is, at least half of it should be occupied by vegetables or fruits. You will get enough as it should, and you will not ruin your diet.
