We are all people, so no one will stand with a whip here, making sure that a healthy, dietary lunch has not been replaced by an appetizing waffle with whipped cream in your menu 😉 If you already indulge in small pleasures, it is during your vacation. Of course, we encourage you to do everything in moderation, so first a little cheat sheet about individual, not necessarily healthy snacks:
Movement is the key
Make sure that you spend your vacation as actively as possible. Walk, walk and walk again. A bike ride or swimming will also be a good idea. We often get questions from our users like – how long should a given activity last for me to burn / burn 500 kcal? Unfortunately, there is no rule here. The human body is not a machine, it is impossible to calculate and plan everything.
The number of calories burned for the same activity at the same time is influenced by factors such as gender, age, intensity and technique of exercise, and even environmental factors such as altitude, temperature and air humidity.
For the sake of a better illustration, let’s assume that an hour of fast walking should allow you to burn more than 300 kcal, an hour of cycling depending on the pace from 400 kcal, and 15 minutes of swimming over 100 kcal. Of course, these are approximate values and in fact the final results will differ for each of us.
If you feel up to it, we also encourage you to pack a mat or favorite equipment with which you exercise every day. Starting the day, for example by training with Kasia, Asia or the boys in our Fitness Online Club from the morning, will put you in a good mood and give you energy for the whole day.

Drink, especially water
It’s simple, but unfortunately, when we interrupt our daily routine during the holidays, we often forget about it. High temperature is also not conducive to irrigation, which encourages you to reach for chilled, colorful drinks. Take a look at the calorific value of those that we reach for the most during the holidays:
Alcohol is a controversial subject because it usually goes hand in hand with salty snacks or the whole grill entourage. However, as we mentioned in the introduction – everything is for people. If you prefer your drinks, go for those with zero-type drinks, but the best alternative is dry wine with ice.
Be sure to also have a reusable bottle (preferably one with a measuring cup to control water consumption) and try not to part with it. There are also those with a built-in filter on the market, which should be an attractive solution, especially for mountain hikers – filtered, icy water from a mountain stream will perfectly quench your thirst.
Important! |

Quite recently, we discussed the very important role that regular hydration plays in our diet. Regardless of the temperature and how actively you spend your vacation, remember to always have a bottle of water on hand! |

You don’t need to starve yourself
And finally, the most important thing, i.e. the answer to the question: do you have to interrupt healthy eating habits and diet while on vacation? Absolutely not. We provide proven, ready-made solutions for every situation.
The perfect solution will be accommodation with an available kitchenette or a table top for preparing your own meals. Of course, you’re on vacation and you might not want to spend half your vacation in the kitchen, of course. The option of replacing meals with meals prepared in no more than 5 minutes, available in the menu, will certainly come in handy. Two or three ingredients are enough to eat tasty and nutritious, and your wallet will also feel the difference in the meals you prepare.
What’s more, you can set your preferences to set breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner without cooking cold – then your dietitian will propose you an express, holiday menu. Next week, we will officially release a new, very useful feature that will make your life easier not only during your vacation – be sure to follow our website! 🙂
It is said that grilling is the national sport of Poles. No wonder – we’re really good at it! In addition to the classic sausage, pork neck and shashliks, more and more sophisticated and tasty alternatives land on the heated grate. For many, a vacation is the only opportunity to indulge in such a relaxing activity as watching food frying. Our dietitians will help you with a healthy and appetizing menu.
Before the pandemic, in many centers there was also an option to buy a Swedish buffet, ideal for everyone who wants to follow a diet and like to know what is on their plate. However, it is difficult to say whether all the owners, due to numerous restrictions, also this year decided to provide this form of food. If you will be able to eat a buffet, try to vary your meals by spreading noodles one day and rice the next. Also, avoid second rounds.
And what about fried fish, especially coveted at the seaside, and dining at restaurants? You can, why not. We recommend rather smoked or grilled fish, and the best choice in terms of calories is cod, 100 g of fish contains only 70 kcal. Good restaurants also offer healthy and wholesome items such as seafood, salads and steamed dishes.
Finally, the most important thing – we remember about regularity. As with water, our daily routine will be disrupted due to the number of attractions and the change of mode, but the key to success is sticking to the recommended caloric value and eating regular meals. Water, exercise, regular food and a moderately healthy menu, and you will definitely be able to return from vacation without unnecessary excess baggage.
Meanwhile, we are packing an exercise mat, a blender (yes, yes, he saved his life during holidays, and it does not take up so much space) and a bottle and we set off for a well-deserved rest! Below, as a reward for reading the entire article, we also have a list of healthy snacks for you in case of a crisis 🙂
