For most buyers of dishwashers, it is not so much their parameters that are important, so much the cost. This does not mean that many are ready to buy the first cheap PMM that comes across – they just want to get decent functionality for their money. How much does a dishwasher cost today? Prices, depending on the brand and characteristics, can vary from 10 rubles to 000.
Given such a wide range, it is worth figuring out how cheap models differ from expensive ones and whether it is worth paying more. This topic is the focus of our review.
What affects the price of a dishwasher
Everything seems to be simple. These are the technologies used for the case and parts, materials, labor costs, the cost of equipment for the production of PMM, as well as its depreciation. To all this, you can add the costs of logistics and other expenses that are included in the cost of equipment. Marketers start from this, calculating the final cost of the product.
In fact, everything is much more intricate. The cost of manufacturing dishwashers of well-known brands is only 30% of the final prices. Everything else is pure profit. Experts report that Bosch spends up to 28% of the market price of cars on their manufacture, and 17% is spent on advertising. At the same time, brand owners make sure that the price of Bosch PMM does not exceed the limits set by marketers.
But you should never forget about intermediaries between the plant and the consumer – they can also charge a significant percentage. There are vivid examples of how intermediaries can “wind up” the cost of dishwashers (let’s take data from online stores):
- Candy CDCF6 – this compact machine, according to YandexMarket, can cost from 12 rubles to 630 rubles. But even 15 is far from the limit of the price range, see below how it happens.
Important! We do not name online stores and do not give links to their sites so as not to advertise. If you wish, you can independently check the given data.
- Bosch SKS 51E22 is another compact dishwasher that can cost from 26 rubles to 990 rubles. Here the difference is almost 30.
- Bosch SPS 50E42 – the price of a narrow freestanding machine ranges from 26 to 970 rubles, and this is a difference of almost 33!
- Full-size floor standing Hansa ZWM 646 IEH costs from 23 to 490 rubles. The difference is 28.
This list can be continued for a long time. It’s easier to go to any online electronic product catalog of Runet online stores and visually familiarize yourself with the price difference in order to choose the most profitable options and avoid overpayments.
Often the inflated cost is due to rent, advertising costs and other nuances. Therefore, we advise you to carefully study the offers at several outlets at once, so as not to accidentally overpay 2 times the real cost.
Popular options from the low price segment
Cars from an affordable or “budget” price category are the most purchased. It is believed that the quality of parts, assembly and washing itself is an order of magnitude worse than that of more expensive PMMs. But this still needs to be proven.
Important! In this part of our review, we will look at machines under 30.
Indesit DSG 2637
Freestanding PMM in this price category are represented by the Indesit machine. This is a 45 cm wide floor dishwasher.
Drying, washing and energy efficiency classes – A. The hopper holds up to 10 dishes, while the water consumption per wash cycle is 10 liters. Noise – 49 dB. This is an economical dishwasher with 5 programs and the same number of temperature settings. The design is supplemented with condensation drying.
Its average cost is 13 rubles.
Bosch SMS 40D02
A representative of the Bosch concern got into the rating of cheap cars. With a price tag of 26 rubles, this full-size stationary PMM has good performance. The highest classes of drying and washing, A-class energy efficiency. The capacity of 490 sets also corresponds to the water consumption, which is 12 liters per wash cycle. Electricity consumption – 12 kW / h.
The machine is noisy at 48 dB. From the functionality: 4 washing programs (regular, express, economy and soaking) and 3 temperature modes. Full type leakage protection is implemented, and there is also a water turbidity sensor.
Bosch SKS 41E11
Small cars are handy and practical, like this compact Bosch desktop model. Dimensions are 55x50x45 cm (width, depth and height, respectively).
Features:
- capacity for 6 crockery sets;
- 8 liters – water consumption;
- noise – 54 dB;
- 4 programs and the same number of temperature modes;
- condensation type drying;
- partial protection against leaks;
- the use of universal 3-in-1 products is acceptable.
At the same time, the machine does not have a display, a turbidity sensor, a half load, an automatic setting of water hardness and an audible signal at the end of the washing cycle. Perhaps all these little things would make the design of a tiny “assistant” heavier.
As for the cost, at the moment there is a run-up from 19 to 950 rubles. Is it worth overpaying more than 27 rubles for such limited functionality? We think it’s not worth it, so look for outlets with the most reasonable price offer.
As you can see, judging by the described options, “cheap” does not mean “bad”. If you look at the lowest prices and correlate them with functionality, you can choose an inexpensive and quite worthy option for a home or a summer residence.
PMM from the middle price category
Dishwashers costing from 30 to 000 rubles fell into the middle price category. Perhaps the best cars in terms of price and quality are in the middle price segment.
Bosch SMS 53N12
Floor stand-alone machine, width – 60 cm. All classes – A, capacity is 13 sets. Management of electronic type, with the convenient display. Protected against interference by children. The water consumption for one cycle will be 10 liters. The reduced energy consumption will be 0,93 kWh. The duration of the regular program is 2 hours 20 minutes. Noise – 46 dB.
There are 5 programs and 4 temperature modes. Condensing dryer. In their reviews, users speak positively about such modes as “Intensive”, “Express” and “Economic”. For convenience of use the mode of half loading of the bunker is provided. The design includes a flow-through water heater.
Other features:
- delayed start of the program up to 24 hours;
- full type leakage protection;
- turbidity sensor;
- the possibility of using universal capsules;
- salt and rinse aid level control;
- the inner surface of the hopper is high quality stainless steel.
The range of prices is insignificant: from 47 to 990 rubles.
Bosch SPS 68M62
An excellent alternative to the built-in model is a stationary narrow machine. Its capacity is 10 sets, and users appreciated the rather quiet operation of the device (only 44 dB). Cost-effectiveness is due to energy class A, and the quality of washing and drying in the highest classes is also A. Water consumption is only 9 liters, the number of available modes is 6.
We noticed a shocking difference in cost, depending on the point of sale (online store): from 41 to 950 rubles. We find it difficult to explain the difference of 67 rubles.
Kaiser S6086XL
This is an ordinary stationary model of German production. With its dimensions (60x64x82 cm – width, depth and height), the capacity of the bunker is 14 sets. The functionality is also on top – there are as many as 8 programs (delicate, economical, soaking and others) and 4 temperature modes. Complete leak protection. There is also a delayed start timer and rinse aid and regenerating salt indicators.
You can purchase this dishwasher at a cost of 54 to 990 rubles.
Important! PMM from Kaiser rarely occupy places in the middle price segment, since the brand is recognized as an elite one, supplying the market exclusively with Premium class equipment. This is a vivid example of the fact that sometimes at an average price you can buy a fairly good dishwasher.
In the middle segment, you can also find offers from Ariston, Electrolux or Siemens. But let’s move on to more expensive technology.
Premium dishwashers
This is the “elite” in the world of dishwashers. Get ready to pay 4/10 of the cost of a PMM for a nice logo, not a feature set. Although there is still a difference in the design – in expensive models there are special “bells and whistles”. The price range of Premium class cars is from 60 rubles and more.
Smeg STP364S
A full-size and fully built-in machine, the price of which should be announced immediately: 117 rubles.
For what “pleasure” you will pay so much:
- hopper for 14 sets;
- washing and drying classes – A;
- energy efficiency class – A;
- the presence of a display;
- water consumption – 11 liters and electricity – 0,92 kW / h;
- noise 45 dB;
- 9 programs;
- condensation drying;
- full type of protection against leakage;
- auto-opening of the door at the end of the wash;
- connection to one phase and others.
Otherwise, this model is not much different from thousands of other dishwashers of less popular brands.
De Dietrich DVH1180GJ
Floor dishwasher 60 cm wide. Slightly cheaper than a competitor from Smeg – can be purchased for 103 rubles.
This roomy model (14 sets) excites the imagination with a brilliant design. Production is truly German. 8 washing programs are provided. There is also a turbo dryer, bunker lighting, a “beam on the floor” and a host of other “chips”.
Separately, we note the low noise level during operation – only 39 dB. This model has everything that you can ask for from a dishwasher, except for the ability to automatically adjust the water hardness. This feature is rare even in the most expensive models – it almost always needs to be done manually. Turn the knob to the desired mark, having previously made hardness test, it will not be difficult, so it is difficult to call this defect a minus.
Miele G 6583 SCVi K2O
The price for this “beauty” is set by the Miele branded salon and is 170 rubles. The full-sized and 900% built-in PMM is distinguished by an energy efficiency class, the maximum for today is A +++.
Low noise of 41 dB, full protection against leakage, Knock2Open technology, automatic door opening sensor – not a complete list of its advantages. There is no parental control function, as the probability of accidental pressing is reduced in built-in models. There is also no auto-hardness setting. It would seem that for such money a dishwasher should even have a built-in Wi-Fi router or, at least, an MP3 player. But we warned that part of the price tag is a payment for the company’s fame.
So, having surveyed the most popular PMMs, we can conclude that the choice of buyers most often falls on Bosch brand equipment. Indeed, Bosch dishwashers combine excellent quality, German technology and an affordable price. The rest of the cars are also worthy competitors, just for some reason the situation has developed that way. Expensive cars are the prerogative of wealthy citizens, so the demand for them is many times lower.
Now you know how to choose a machine without overpaying a penny. Good luck!
