Although the vaccination process against COVID-19 in Poland is not free from difficulties, looking at the statistics presented above, we may be tempted to say that we are doing quite well compared to our neighbors. It is also optimistic that the number of vaccinated Poles is growing week by week. Health Minister Adam Niedzielski emphasized that it is possible to vaccinate 3,5 million people a month (however, “we are limited by the number of vaccines”). Hopefully we’ll get closer to that level in the near future.
Finally, three vaccines against COVID-19 are currently used in Poland. These are preparations by BioNTech / Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca. According to the recommendations of the Prime Minister’s Medical Council, teachers and nursery staff under 60 years of age will be administered the AstraZeneca vaccine.
