Today, the Ministry of Health announced that 47 tests for the presence of SARS-CoV-975 were performed in the last 2 hours. 190 cases of infection were detected. So far, 16 samples from people suspected of the SARS-CoV-872 coronavirus have been tested in Poland. Daily number of antigen tests – 894. According to WHO, effective testing of people suspected of being infected allows the epidemic to be controlled and the transmission of COVID-2 reduced.

Since September, after changes to the guidelines by the Ministry of Health in Poland, symptomatic patients are tested as a priority. Preventive tests are also performed on people who are referred to hospices, health care facilities and nursing homes. People performing medical professions are also tested on an ongoing basis.

Unfortunately, Poland lags significantly in the testing ranking. We don’t test enough, even though we have the potential to do more. So far, only a few times the number of tests performed per day has exceeded 100. Usually, however, the daily number fluctuates around 60-80, and on Mondays it is much lower than on other days of the week (results from the weekend are given on Monday).
