How to make herring soup
1. Peel the onions, cut into half rings.
2. Peel and grate the carrots.
3. Place a saucepan with butter on the burner, fry the onions and carrots over medium heat for 5 minutes.
4. Wash millet in cool water, scald with boiling water.
5. Put millet in a saucepan with vegetables, keep on medium heat for 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
6. Peel the potatoes, cut into squares 2 centimeters thick.

How to make herring milk soup

4. Put onions and potatoes in a saucepan with boiling water, keep the lid closed for 15 minutes over medium heat.
5. Remove the head, tail, fins, bones from the herring, remove the skin. Cut the fillet into squares about a centimeter thick.
6. Add herring to vegetables in a saucepan, keep for 5 minutes over low heat.
7. Pour warm milk into a saucepan with soup, let it boil, remove from the burner.
8. Wash green onions, chop.
9. Season soup in bowls with sour cream and green onions.
