How to cook cherry and currant compote

1. Under running water, thoroughly wash 250 grams of cherries and 250 grams of currants.

2. Throw the berries in a colander, dry, remove the stalks and dirt.

3. Pour 2 liters of water into a saucepan.

4. Put berries and 5 tablespoons of sugar in a saucepan.

5. Put the pan on maximum heat and keep it on until it boils.

6. After the compote has boiled, reduce the heat to low, cover the pan with a lid and cook for another 10 minutes.

7. Pour the finished compote into sterilized jars and roll up.
