How to cook beetroot caviar

Products

Beets – 1,5 kilograms

Carrots – 700 grams

Tomatoes – 700 grams

Garlic – 50 grams

Vegetable oil – 100 ml

Apple cider vinegar – 3 tablespoons

Salt – to taste

Black pepper – to taste

How to cook beetroot caviar

1. Wash both beets, carrots and tomatoes. Peel beets and carrots.

2. Pass the garlic through a garlic press or finely chop with a knife.

3. Tomatoes cut into 5 pieces and chop until puree using a meat grinder or blender and place in a separate deep bowl.

4. Finely grater the carrots and beets.

5. Preheat a frying pan, pour 100 ml of vegetable oil into it. Put the grated carrots and beets in the pan and fry for 10 minutes.

6. Place tomato puree in an enamel pan, add roasted carrots and beets and crushed garlic to it. 7. Boil beetroot caviar over low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

8. Add salt, spices and apple cider vinegar to the dish, stir and simmer for another 5 minutes, loosely closing the lid.

9. Turn off the burner, cool the caviar and put the dish in bowls for consumption. Decorate with a sprig of fresh herbs.

 

How to cook beetroot caviar in a slow cooker

1. Place the resulting mass of fried and chopped ingredients in a multicooker dish and cook in the “Stew” mode for 45 minutes.

2. Add salt and spices to the composition.
