How to cook smoked lentil soup

Products

Lentils – 1 glass

Vegetable oil – 2 tablespoons

How to make lentil soup

Rinse lentils, add to a saucepan. Pour cold water over and put on a quiet fire. Cook the lentils for 15 minutes after boiling. Wash the potatoes, peel and cut into cubes with a side of 1,5 centimeters.

Peel the onions, cut off the rhizome and cut into half rings. Wash carrots, peel, grate on a coarse grater. Cut the ham into thin short strips.

Heat a frying pan, pour oil, put onion, after 5 minutes of frying it (with constant stirring) add carrots and ham. Fry everything together for 5 minutes. Add potatoes and 3 tablespoons of tomato paste to the pan. Simmer for 5 minutes, covered.

Mash the lentils (to taste), put the frying in the soup, put the smoked ribs. Salt the soup to taste. When serving lentil soup, sprinkle generously with fresh chopped parsley on top.

How to make creamy lentil soup

Products

Red lentils – 1 glass

Onions – 1 piece

Carrots – 1 piece

Parsley – 1 bunch

Garlic – 2 prongs

Processed cheese – 1 piece

Cream 20% – 1 glass

Salt – half a teaspoon

Vegetable oil – 2 tablespoons

Water – 2 glasses

Making Lentil Cream Soup

1. Rinse 1 cup lentils in a colander.

2. Peel and cut 1 carrot into circles.

3. Peel and cut 1 onion into half rings.

4. Peel and finely chop 2 garlic cloves.

5. Grate or mash 1 processed cheese with a fork.

6. Finely chop 1 bunch of parsley.

7. Pour water into a saucepan, bring to a boil, add lentils and cook over low heat for 10 minutes – lentils should keep their shape.

8.Use a colander to drain the water from the lentils.

9. Pour 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil into a saucepan and put on medium heat.

10. Add carrots, onions and garlic to a saucepan, fry for 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

11. Add lentils, parsley, processed cheese, cream, half a teaspoon of salt to a saucepan, stir and heat for 5 minutes.

12. Grind the contents of the saucepan with a blender, heat for 2 minutes. Lentil cream soup is ready.
