How long does the child move
Already from the first weeks after fertilization, women are concerned about the question of how long the child begins to move. This moment is so long-awaited and exciting, especially if a woman has her first pregnancy.
At what stage of pregnancy does the baby begin to move?
The baby first begins to move at the age of eight weeks. During this period of his life, muscles and nerve endings are formed. However, the movements are still so weak that mom simply cannot feel them.
How long does the child move and what to do if he does not move
On average, a woman begins to feel the movement of the baby at 18-22 weeks, although these data are averaged and for all this process proceeds individually. When a pregnant woman feels the first tremors, it depends on various factors. The key factors are the following:
- Body fat thickness. A thin girl will feel the tremors faster than a plump girl.
- What are the births on the account. A woman who is going to give birth a second, third, etc. times will feel the tremors earlier, because she already knows what they are like, and listens more attentively to her body.
After the woman has felt the first movements, they will become even more tangible and frequent. The baby moves a lot until the 32nd week, and then his activity decreases sharply. The thing is that the child is already getting cramped in the womb.
Often women complain that the child is much more active at night and his movements do not allow him to fall asleep. In fact, the activity is the same day and night, just in the daytime the pregnant woman does not notice the tremors.
When is it worth to see a doctor?
Doctors recommend going to the clinic if you have not felt any movements for 10-12 hours. Usually this does not mean anything terrible, but it does not hurt to play it safe.
If the absence of movement is caused by problems with the fetus, it is usually a matter of hypoxia, that is, a lack of oxygen. It is of 2 types:
- Acute hypoxia. Requires emergency assistance from specialists.
- Chronic hypoxia. Treatment is necessary, but the situation is not urgent.
Before an attack of hypoxia, the child begins to rush, move very quickly, and then calms down. In this case, you should immediately go to the doctor.
Now you know how long the child is moving, and you will be ready to meet his first tremors. The main thing – remember, all women are individual, someone feels the movement in the womb earlier, and someone later. Do not start worrying in vain, because your worries will be passed on to the baby.
