An important question arose: how long should the experience of «Teaching with passion» be continued?
Theoretically, reasoning, even a single experience remains in the memory of a person, a single act can become the basis of a useful habit. If this were not so, if each of our actions passed without a trace for the soul, then there would be no habits at all. And we see that habits are constantly created — both good and bad. They all start with one single act. What we need is the habit of sitting down to work in a good mood and doing it carefully. You can’t spend too much spiritual energy on methods of work, you must leave them for the work itself! In addition, it is still tiring every time, sitting down for lessons, to remember some more rules. It is necessary that the rules act automatically, by themselves, and this cannot be achieved the first or second time.
Some psychologists argue that for the formation of a habit, you need no less, namely three weeks, twenty -one days. Why this is so is unknown. But I was convinced from my own experience that, for example, in a new place you begin to feel at home exactly after three weeks.

The example was difficult, I already wanted to yawn, but I remembered the experience and did not yawn. But I didn’t get the experience that day. As soon as I started to get at least a little interested, I suddenly remembered the experience and began to think that I was already doing something, and after that, all interest, of course, left. And this did not last one day. But that’s what happened on September 21st. I did the examples again. The second example didn’t work for me. I tried to solve it this way and that, but nothing worked. I had already lost almost all hope, but I was still writing something, and suddenly … I got the right answer. I rushed to the textbook, checked: everything was correct. The remaining examples began to resolve themselves somehow, and I went to bed very joyful. And just lying in bed, I thought that mathematics is still an interesting subject. The next day at school, it turned out that instead of three examples, I decided five. Since that day, I have been doing mathematics with passion and I think that the experiment was a success.”
And the eighth-grader Vena Semenov from Novocheboksarsk needed much less time: “The most boring subject for me is chemistry. I’m going to be a doctor. They say that to become a doctor, you need to know chemistry. But I didn’t get anything. I hated chemistry. Decided to take the experience. Several times I carefully read the assigned lesson. Very well thought out. They didn’t ask me in chemistry class. My mood has deteriorated. At home I told my father, and he says that you can’t hang your nose. And every time I studied chemistry well. The long-awaited day has come. In chemistry class, the teacher asked me. I spoke so well that even the teacher was surprised. And put «five» against my surname. Now I am passionate about chemistry. I think my experience was a success.»
But Viti Savinov from the city of Gubkin got the experience the first time!
“My most boring subject is geometry,” Vitya writes. — I told Kolya, my friend, about Teaching with Passion. We have divided all the material into sentences. Then carefully read each sentence. Then they picked up pencils and drew what we needed. The next day, the teacher called me, and I already answered «four». This assessment was a turning point in my life. The next day, I myself raised my hand and completed the answers of the students. And all the time I added correctly. For this, the teacher gave me a mark of «five». I perked up. In the following days, I understood geometry well, but recently I was barely pulling on «three».
So how many days should the experiment continue?
The answer suggests itself: to the first success — and beyond!

We have seen that passion comes after the first success. But what counts as success? Some guys made this mistake: they considered success only a good mark. But the marks are, of course, after a call to the board. And if they didn’t call, does it mean failure? Andrey Baranov from the Moscow region wrote: “I was not called even once, no matter how hard I tried and raised my hand (above all). So there are no shifts, except for the deuce, which I received at the end of the experiment. Deuce is not for errors, but for the content. As an example of a pronoun, I wrote a sentence: «He was carried to the cemetery.» For some reason the teacher didn’t like it. In my opinion, a person cannot be interested in a boring business. So that such a story does not happen to us and our hobby does not have to be “carried to the cemetery”, we will consider success not a challenge-mark, but our own interest. There will be interest — sooner or later there will be good grades, this is a must, and there is no need to prove it!
