How is pregnancy after an ovarian cyst

If a woman has health problems, for example, an ovarian cyst, then she has a question: “Is pregnancy possible after a cyst and what needs to be done so that the entire pregnancy goes well?” There are some requirements.

Is pregnancy possible after a cyst?

Getting pregnant after a cyst – is it possible?

Conception is possible, however, it is important to know some basic requirements:

1) First of all, you need to take care of the correct formation of the placenta. For this, it is important that there is an increased level of progesterone in the blood. Thanks to this, when the fetus develops, the main blow goes not to the ovaries, but to the placenta itself, it produces the necessary hormones. The formation of a luteal cyst is possible, but it is absolutely not dangerous. Such a cyst is capable of resolving itself at the 12th week of pregnancy, because it is during this period that the placenta begins to work actively.

2) It is important to always consult with your doctor. It is necessary to make a high-quality examination of pregnancy in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters.

3) Before planning a pregnancy, remove the cyst in advance to avoid the formation of tumors, which in the future will lead to miscarriage and infertility.

4) Before conception, undergo a course of treatment with special hormonal drugs. Most often, after three months, a woman can easily become pregnant.

5) If the cyst was removed by laparoscopy, then this can lead to the formation of adhesions and it will be almost impossible to get pregnant. In this case, after treatment, try not to delay the conception process.

Doctors are still hesitating with a final decision in this matter. However, they still came to some conclusions:

1. Pregnancy after an ovarian cyst is safe only if the cyst is small in size and does not give side effects. If you constantly undergo observation by a gynecologist and monitor the development of the child, then the pregnancy will pass without complications.

2. If the cyst is pathological, then it is better to postpone the pregnancy. Conception is dangerous when:

– the cyst is constantly developing;

– if there is an increase in the level of tumor marker (CA – 150);

– if education does not decrease over a long period.

From all this, we can conclude that pregnancy with this disease is possible, the main thing is to be treated correctly, always consult a gynecologist and pass the necessary tests at the hospital.
