A few highlights of the conversation
- “Dark kitchen” as a business model appeared in Silicon Valley. IT entrepreneurs came up with the idea to bring restaurants to a place cut off from the rest of the world. The halls did not open because there was no traffic. It was possible to get to the IT specialists on bicycles. Thus, a model of a kitchen was formed that works only for takeaway.
- The more orders you have, the more carefully you need to monitor the quality of service. Couriers are points on the city map that move along certain vectors. You need to understand what next order will be more convenient for them and give it to them.
- The average delivery time now is about 30 minutes.
- The most important thing for couriers is a memo. Previously, when they had accidents, couriers tried to solve them themselves. Now delivery services have an internal support system and special instructions on what to do in an emergency. Now there is an application where couriers can quickly write to tell about their problem. After that, the “landing” leaves for the place.
- Cyril said that the “Kitchen” was created in order to replace home cooking. Two years ago, only pizza, sushi and burgers were available for delivery. But it is impossible to eat this every day.
- Online ordering services take over the preparation and delivery processes. Thereby the client saves 20-60 hours of his life per month.
- Four years ago, it was difficult to explain to restaurants why they need delivery. They treated it as an extra income. Now they understand that this is necessary: customers-users come to them from Delivery Club.
- Dmitry believes that it is beneficial for restaurants to team up with delivery apps. There, selections are made for them, promotions and promotions are made.
