If your washing machine has an Express Wash button on the control panel, you should know how to use it correctly. And if there is no such button, we will help you understand the analogues of this convenient program.
Deciphering: what is express washing
“Express” or “Fast” – a mode that is in almost every washer.
So, the prefix “Express” – what is it? Literally, it means “instant”, and the mode itself means that the process is accelerated and takes time from a quarter to half an hour.
Cycle times are reduced with less intense and frequent rinsing and no water heating (or minimal heating). Usually the water temperature is not higher than 40 degrees, more often – 30. Modern models also reduce washing time thanks to sensors that automatically determine the weight of the laundry and the degree of soiling.
Spin during washing is set to the maximum or slightly less than the maximum number of revolutions. Depending on the CMA model, the number of revolutions per minute can range from 1 to 800.
You will find a mode similar to express washing in almost all models of such brands:
- Bosch and Siemens.
- Atlant.
- Electrolux.
- Samsung.
- Kuppersbush.
Important! In this case, no more than 1,5-2,5 kg of dry laundry can be sent to the drum. If this limit is exceeded, the laundry may not be washed properly.
Now you know what express washing in a washing machine means. It remains to understand its features and time frame.
For what things and occasions is the Express mode suitable?
The cycle is used when the clothes do not require intensive washing – they just need to freshen up a little. With the condition that there are no stains on things.
Cotton and non-delicate fabrics are the most suitable for express mode. This also applies to clothes that have been worn only 1-2 times.
Attention! Do not wash just a pair of socks or one T-shirt. Load an extra towel or something else into the drum to avoid drum imbalance.
You can use the mode when things need to be washed, but there is no time for this. Just do not be lazy and soak the clothes before washing and wash the stains on it, after which you can safely send them to the drum.
How long does the express wash take?
In washing machines of different brands, the washing time may differ, and the name of the mode itself may not be “Express” or “Fast” at all. By the way, the last two modes usually differ in time: the first takes 15 minutes, the second half an hour.
Consider how many minutes similar programs for different brands can last:
- In SM brand Kandy, the mode is called “Quick wash”.
- In the Hyer and Hans brands, the “Express” or “Quick” program is designed for 15 minutes.
- Bosch washing machines have a “Super Fast Wash” function for 15 and 30 minutes.
- In almost all LG models, the mode is called “Quick 30” and is designed for half an hour.
- In Gorenje brand washing machines, such a cycle lasts 17 minutes.
- In Beko, the speed wash mode is called “Mini”.
- The CMA brand AEG has a “20 Min” mode for 3 kilograms of laundry.
- In some Whirlpool models, in addition to a half-hour wash, there may be a Quick Wash button.
Important! Some washers, for example, Ariston, do not imply such a regime, but there are time designations. So, on the control panel of such SMAs, you can find marks for 15, 20 or 30 minutes.
So, the considered mode can have more than ten names, its duration is no more than half an hour, and the temperature is a maximum of 40 degrees. The only difference is the features resulting from the settings provided by different manufacturers.
Some brands provide a sharp injection of water into the drum, others are equipped with the Eco Bubble option, while others do not take water under pressure. All this affects the quality of the process, so some machine owners like this cycle, while others do not.
Try, test and choose a fast yet effective express wash.
