There are also many manufacturers of whitening strips. However, are they effective, do they properly and, above all, safely fulfill their function?

The effectiveness of whitening strips

Many people admit that the whitening strips actually fulfilled their function and duly whitened the teeth by up to 3-4 tones. The effectiveness of whitening depends on the type of whitening strips you buy and how you use them. Acting in accordance with the leaflet attached to the whitening strips will allow you to effectively whiten your teeth. Extending the time of whitening can work to our advantage in that the teeth will be whitened faster, more thoroughly and stronger. The downside here is the formation of hypersensitivity of the teeth to heat or cold and irritation of the gums.

How to prepare for teeth whitening with strips?

It is best to visit your dentist before starting teeth whitening. Teeth that are decayed should be treated before whitening. Then buy a specially prepared toothpaste for sensitive teeth. When teeth are whitened, they will become more sensitive to temperature changes, which can make it difficult to eat or drink. Before applying the strips, we do not brush our teeth so as not to strengthen their hypersensitivity. During the teeth whitening stage, try not to consume products that stain teeth. It is forbidden to consume coffee, red wine or beetroot dishes.

How to whiten your teeth with strips?

Whitening strips should be taken out of the box, opened and applied to the lower and upper teeth. Belts should remain on the teeth for about 20-30 minutes, depending on the manufacturer’s information included in the package. One pack of whitening strips will contain exactly as many strips as are needed for the entire treatment. After removing the strips, you only need to rinse your mouth with clean water without brushing your teeth.  

The first effects of whitening can be noticed after the first use, but the final and satisfactory effects should be waited until the end of the entire treatment.
