And vitamin D? According to Anna Plucik-Mrożek, exercise is a better solution if we aim to increase immunity. Of course, its supplementation in the fall and winter season is recommended due to the imminent shortages, but it does not have much to do with the fight for immunity.

Vitamin D supposedly has some little effect in this area, but in the case of physical activity it is much better proven. An interesting fact: this research began in the 80s. Prof. Newman was doing research at the Boston Marathon runners at the time. He wondered if there was some way to influence immunity through movement. And he started to think that when the marathon runners ran the entire marathon, they were soon sick. And if it was a half marathon or just exercise – everything was OK. They were sick much less often. Prof. So Newman started looking at it at the cellular levels and found out that exercise does actually improve immunity. Later, there were many such studies. They also proved this thesis.
