How do lipolytics help you lose weight?
Lipolytics are body shaping drugs that are widely used in injection cosmetology. They are injected under the skin with injections of the finest needles and allow you to remove fat deposits.
Our expert told about what lipolytics are, how they differ and what is their mechanism of action.
Mechanism of action of lipolytic injections
With the initial penetration of the drug into the subcutaneous fat, an intracellular increase in osmotic pressure and the splitting of fat cells into glycerol and fatty acids occur.
There is a rupture of the cell membrane and the ingress of decay products into the lymphatic and circulatory systems, followed by excretion through the liver and kidneys.
Adipose tissue is consistently destroyed due to the active ingredients in lipolytic cocktails.
There are two types of lipolytics: direct and indirect.
Direct lipolytics and drug categories
These substances burn and dissolve fat cells with the subsequent disposal of the contents through the excretory systems of the body.
They work in specific hard-to-reach areas and are the most effective way to remove excess fat, especially in the abdomen, upper and lower extremities.
Examples of substances
Phosphatidylcholine (lecithin, soybean phospholipid) converts refractory fat into a liquid emulsion with subsequent excretion from the body, giving a quick effect.
Sodium deoxycholate is a bile acid salt that destroys adipocyte membranes and releases fatty products into the spaces between cells.
Indirect lipolytics, application features
These components accelerate metabolism, stimulate lymphatic drainage processes, normalize microcirculation for the subsequent reduction of excess volumes. They carry out, in contrast to direct substances, a natural, physiological, painless, soft and complex effect on the cells and tissues of the face and body.
There are two types of funds:
the first type (L-carnitine, caffeine, cocoa extract, guarana, yohimbine) – to accelerate the transport of free fatty acids and energy production;
the second type (artichoke extract, asiatic centella, ginkgo biloba, meliloto) – to ensure lymphatic drainage, accelerate lipolysis and prevent the formation of puffiness. They are often combined with vascular drugs (troxerutin) to improve blood vessel tone.
When correcting fat deposits in the body area, they often use combined protocols of direct and indirect lipolytics, using them in one procedure, or alternating with each other. The course, as a rule, is determined individually at the consultation and takes from 3 to 7-8 procedures with a frequency of 1 every 1-4 weeks.
The most popular and effective drugs for combating local body fat are Aqualix, Revital celluform.
For the fight against localized fat deposits on the face – effective and safe Mesosculpt.
Contraindications to lipolysis procedures are:
pregnancy, breastfeeding period;
individual negative reaction to the composition of the drug;
diseases of the excretory, genitourinary organs;
thrombophlebitis;
malfunctions of the endocrine system, including diabetes mellitus;
neurological diagnoses;
chronic diseases at the time of exacerbation;
wounds on the skin;
infectious diseases affecting parts of the body that need lipolytic correction;
high probability of keloid formation.
