How can you replace the culinary thread

The culinary thread is made of heat-resistant materials, although it does not look at all different from ordinary thread. Kitchen thread is needed to shape meat, poultry or fish when baking – steak, rolls, stuffed duck, for example.

Despite its thickness and density, the culinary thread does not cut into the flesh of the food and does not break when tying. It is sold in any business department.

If, for some reason, you did not have a special thread at hand, you can replace it with silk sewing, but only in a light color, in order to avoid paint getting into the dishes during heat treatment.

A strong cotton thread, also in light shades, is also suitable for cooking.

Small pieces of meat can be held together with wooden toothpicks.

Do not forget to grease the thread with vegetable oil before using it so that it can easily separate from the dish later.
