Houseplant automatic watering system

Designer Patrick Morris has created a unique planting system called Sky Planter. Its essence lies in the fact that a special system of vessels located in flower pots, through which the plant feeds, allows to reduce water consumption for irrigation by up to 90%. At the same time, the flowers themselves are placed upside down in the pot, which also allows you to save room space.

These vessels are located in such a way that, on the one hand, they do not allow the soil to fall out of the pot, and on the other hand, they prevent the evaporation of moisture, thereby reducing water consumption for irrigation. Using the Sky Planter system, even the most fastidious plants need to be watered once or twice a month.

Patrick Morris was awarded the prestigious UK New Designers ceramic design award for his invention.
