House-egg in Moscow, where no one wants to live: 10 photos

Four floors of luxury were put up for sale back in 2018, and the mansion never found its owner.

“An architectural masterpiece of Moscow is the Faberge egg house. Included in the ranking of the most unusual buildings in the world, ”- this is how the mansion is described in the announcement of the sale. The house really looks unusual: a round structure with porthole windows, convex walls, topped with an attic roof. There are four floors of beauty in total. No, not even luxury – inside, according to realtors, a luxury apartment is hidden.

This miracle is located in the very center of Moscow on Mashkova Street. Even the list of places recommended for tourists to visit is included. But no one lives there – the house was put up for sale back in 2007, the announcement is still relevant.

The building was built in 2000-2002 according to the project of the architect Sergei Tkachenko. Wikipedia calls the house “a typical example of Luzhkov’s style in Moscow architecture” – the mansion does not really fit into the historical center at all. Therefore, the construction was not too legal: the documents were coordinated on the go. The house was conceived as an outbuilding of an office building.

When the egg house went up for sale, it was worth $ 1,2 million. The American currency was then traded at the blessed rate of 25 rubles per dollar, so that in our money the mansion cost 30 million. There were no buyers. They offered Nikas Safronov, but he refused – he already had a luxurious apartment. The next year, the price of the egg house was inflated 10 times, to $ 12 million. That is, approximately 306 million rubles. And again, sales did not work out.

Since then, the price has not changed so much. As the edition writes Mash, in 2018 the house was exhibited for 356 million rubles, in the 19th – already for 407 million. Now they are asking for 426 million 765 thousand rubles for an architectural masterpiece.

For this money, a potential inhabitant of the Faberge egg house will receive 345 squares of total area, ceilings with a height of 3,2 meters, and in the attic even higher – 4,5 meters, and with a painting. Separate entrance, garage, lift, gym, sauna. But there are only four rooms for living space: two bedrooms, a living room and an upper living room. The beauty? Undoubtedly. But the house never found its owner. Maybe the photos will help you understand why?
