Hot Wrap – features and recipes

The cosmetic procedure of hot wrapping is widely carried out in SPA salons, but it can also be done at home. Attached to the film, a special mask for the skin of the body creates the so – called “sauna effect” – expands the pores, increases body temperature and sweating. You will need: ingredients for preparing a warming composition, food wrap, a warm blanket or warm clothes, a scrub, a hard washcloth and an hour of free time.

The principle of operation of the hot wrap

Many people think that a hot wrap is better for weight loss than a cold one. This is not true. Heating individual parts of the body stimulates blood circulation and sweating, rather than breaking down fat. Those centimeters that you will lose thanks to the hot wrap will come back if you do not change your lifestyle.

Thanks to the “sauna effect”, the nutrients from the mask better penetrate the skin. A local increase in temperature stimulates the metabolism in the tissues, blood circulation, the work of the sweat glands and helps to relieve puffiness. To achieve this effect, heating components are used – various types of pepper, ginger, mustard, honey, coffee, essential oils, water heated to 37-38 °C, which are added to the base.

For the base, use one of the following components: algae, sea mud or clay, vegetable oil, honey.

It is necessary to understand the true causes of puffiness, change the diet, start training and learn how to cope with stress. This approach, together with wraps, will help you forget about excess weight and cellulite forever.

The effect of hot wrapping is noticeable after 10-15 procedures. It is recommended to do the wrap no more than three times a week (calorizer). With severe cellulite, the course can be increased to 1.5-2 months. The break between courses is at least a month.

How to prepare the skin for wrapping

Hot wrap, as well as cold, should be done after water hygiene procedures, self-massage and skin cleansing with a scrub. First, you need to wash with soap or shower gel and steam the skin. Then, with the help of a scrub and a hard washcloth, massage and clean.

The scrub should be hard based on coffee or sea salt. You can make it yourself-mix a spoonful of candied honey with a spoonful of ground coffee. The main thing is that the mixture you have prepared does not scratch the skin. Skin damage and irritation are an absolute contraindication to hot wrapping.

After preparation, it is necessary to immediately apply a warming composition to the skin, fix it with food film, put on warm clothes and take a horizontal position for 20-40 minutes. Please note that the duration of the hot wrap is less than the duration of the cold wrap.

Contraindications to hot wrapping

There are more contraindications for a hot wrap than for a cold one. It can not be done to people with heart and vascular diseases. Absolute contraindications are varicose veins and thrombophlebitis, pregnancy, feeding, menstruation, allergy to the components of the mask, skin damage and diseases.

In order not to harm your health, make sure that there are no contraindications, do not increase the time of wrapping, be attentive to your body during the procedure – if you feel worse, stop it.

For a few days, watch yourself. The wrap should not cause swelling, skin rashes, blisters, itching, diarrhea, nausea or headache. All of the above indicates the presence of allergies.

Hot Wrap Recipes

There are many cosmetic formulations for warming up wraps. The most popular brands are Natura Siberica, GUAM. Less expensive products – Floresan, Vitex, Compliment. You can also prepare the composition of a warming mask at home.

Consider a few recipes.

Seaweed: soak 2-4 tablespoons of dry crushed kelp for 15 minutes in hot water 50-60 °C, when the water temperature drops to 38 °C, apply to the skin and fix with a film.

Mud: dilute 50 g of cosmetic sea mud with warm water to the consistency of sour cream.

Honey: heat 2 tablespoons of natural honey in a water bath to 38 °C, add 1/2 tablespoon of mustard.

Oil: in 2 tablespoons of olive or almond oil, add 3 drops of essential oils of orange, lemon and grapefruit and heat in a water bath to 38 °C.

Clay: mix 50 g of blue clay with a teaspoon of cinnamon and ginger, add 5-10 drops of orange essential oil and dilute with water heated to 38 °C to a creamy consistency.

After applying the composition, you should dress warmly and cover yourself with a blanket. During the wrap, you should feel warm, but if you suddenly feel a strong burning sensation or feel worse, immediately wash it off with warm water (calorizator). Wrapping is a pleasant procedure, not a self-torture. It should improve your well-being and appearance. Remember that a comprehensive approach is necessary to achieve a sustainable and visible result.
