It relieves the condition of the respiratory tract in infectious diseases. However, do not forget that hot beer is still an alcoholic drink, so it should be consumed in moderation.
Hot beer for colds – recipes
Here are some hot beer recipes for colds to help you with your treatment. Hot beer itself has a rather original taste that not everyone may like. Therefore, to balance the taste, add one tablespoon of honey to a glass of warmed beer. Stir until the honey dissolves, drink and go to bed wrapped in a warm blanket. If honey is not on hand, you can replace it with an egg. You can also add cloves or cinnamon to the drink.
The next recipe for hot beer for colds is somewhat more complicated, and even somewhat resembles mulled wine: take 250 grams of sugar for half a liter of beer. Remove pits from two large lemons, scroll the lemons in a meat grinder, right with the peel. Then add a teaspoon of anise leaves and two tablespoons of chopped licorice root. This composition needs to be boiled for an hour in a water bath, then cooled and filtered through cheesecloth. And you need to drink it as a mixture, in small doses, a tablespoon three times a day. The resulting medicine should definitely help you with a strong cough.
If you have a sore throat during a cold, make a compress with hot beer. Just as in the first recipe, stir a teaspoon of honey in a heated glass of beer. Soak a piece of cloth or napkin in this solution, wrap it around your neck. Then, to create a heat-insulating layer, wrap it all up with polyethylene, put a layer of cotton wool on top, wrap it up with a scarf.
