Description:
Fruiting body 5-10 (20) cm high and about 2-3 cm wide, club-shaped, longitudinally wrinkled, light yellow or reddish with a light felt base.
Spore powder is white.
Pulp: spongy, light, without a special smell, turns brown on the cut.
Spread:
Pistil horn lives in August and September mainly in deciduous forests, rarely. Found in more southern regions.
Similar species: The horn is truncated, which has a flat top of the fruiting body and a sweetish taste.
