Honeysuckle berries have long been a favorite product for making homemade alcohol. Someone loves how its taste qualities are revealed in wine, liquor or liqueur, while someone prefers classic drinks such as tincture.

Tips before starting
To prepare homemade honeysuckle tincture, you can use dried, frozen and fresh berries. Only frozen must first be thawed and allowed to drain excess liquid, and dried should be taken three times less than indicated in the recipe.
The classic tincture is prepared with vodka, but you can also use edible alcohol or high-quality moonshine without an extraneous pungent odor.
Honeysuckle tincture with honey
Ingredients
Honeysuckle berries – 400 g
Liquid honey – 300 g
Vodka – 2 l
Method of preparation
First, we prepare the berry. To do this, it must be washed, removed excess debris, spoiled fruits and dried a little with paper towels.
We interrupt the berries with a blender, meat grinder or potato masher.
Then we shift the honeysuckle puree into a glass container, add honey and pour in the alcohol base.
Shake the container thoroughly and transfer to a dark room at room temperature for 2-3 weeks.
After the time has elapsed, the tincture must be filtered, squeezed out and passed through a purchased or home-made filter.
The finished drink is bottled. Shelf life – 5 years.
Honeysuckle tincture on vodka
Ingredients
Honeysuckle fruits – 300 g
Vodka – 1 l
Water – 200 ml
Granulated sugar – 150 g
Method of preparation
We carry out point 1 from the first recipe.
Now the berry must be crushed with your hands or with a wooden spoon.
We put the prepared honeysuckle in a glass container and fill it with vodka.
Let it brew in a dark place at room temperature for 5 days. Do not forget to shake the contents of the container daily.
After 5 days, the base syrup must be boiled from water and granulated sugar.
While the syrup is cooling to room temperature, strain the tincture, and then mix it with the sugar syrup.
We leave the honeysuckle tincture for another 5 days to stabilize the taste.
The finished drink can be filtered and bottled in glass bottles.
Alcohol tincture of honeysuckle
Ingredients per 3 liter jar
Fresh honeysuckle berries – 1/2 the volume of the selected container
Food alcohol – 1,5-2 liters
Granulated sugar – 600 g
Water – 1 L
Method of preparation
Berries must be washed, dried and seeds removed.
Prepared honeysuckle, up to half, fall asleep in a 3-liter jar.
Then pour in food alcohol up to the very neck and send it to infuse for 14 days in a dark place with room temperature. Every day you need to shake the infusion.
After 2 weeks, we filter the tincture into a separate container, and cover the berries with sugar.
We leave the container in the same place for another week and continue to shake its contents daily.
After a week, we filter the syrup and mix it with alcohol, and completely fill the berry with water and continue to infuse for another 7 days.
After 7 days, filter the water and mix with the rest of the ingredients.
Now the drink must be filtered and bottled.
Before tasting, we leave the finished tincture for a couple of days to stabilize the taste.
PS The amount of infused water can be adjusted to taste, if the drink is too strong, then you can repeat the manipulations with water (for another 7 days, insist on the berries, and then dilute the tincture to the desired strength).
