On the last day of the year, according to popular beliefs, much cannot be done: lend, take out the trash, or give out shoes for repair. And also, they say, you shouldn’t do the cleaning on December 31st. Let’s figure it out with the help of an expert, so it really is and why.
In the New Year, even those who usually do not believe in omens too much, decide, just in case, to do everything so as not to “frighten off luck.” Therefore, closer to the date, the most popular requests on the Internet – what to celebrate the holiday and what should not be on the New Year’s table.
The Rat is giving way to the White Metal Bull, so, probably, many Russians will sit down at the festive table in the light and will not eat beef. There is, of course, logic in this, but with the omen about cleaning, questions remain – why is it impossible to clean on December 31?
We turned to an expert for clarification.
expert of the “Secrets of Chapman” program, winner of the Lotys International Superpower Award as the strongest magician
“Who told you that you can’t? What’s wrong with this day? On this day, solstice, full moon, new moon, or some other astronomical phenomenon that affects the energy of people, a big church holiday or popular belief? You can often find other advice on the Internet: that you just need to put things in order, throw out unnecessary things, buy yourself a new thing in order to meet the New Year in a new one, say goodbye to the old life. After all, the New Year is ahead, which means that there will be something new and expectation of novelty in everyone’s life. “
The expert recalled that December 31 is only a conditional date of the end of the year. If you look at history, there were different points of reference. This is now celebrated in our country on the night of December 31 to January 1. And in the XNUMXth century, the new year fell on the first day of September, now we celebrate another holiday on this day – the Day of Knowledge.
“By the decree of Peter I in 1699, it was decided to celebrate the New Year from January 1, 1700, so he brought Russia to the standards of Europe. And before that date, it was September 1. Even earlier, according to pagan canons, the beginning of the year was celebrated on March 1 at all, – explains Denis Shirokov. – Why was it so? All because of Russian devotion to traditions. March 1 – the beginning of the new year along with the awakening of nature in spring, and September 1 – the harvest is harvested, all work is completed, so the new year begins. ”
The expert reminds: and now the Russian Orthodox Church celebrates the so-called “New Year” in the old style – September 1.
“As we can see from history, this day is simply recognized by everyone as a kind of starting point, so that there is no confusion and everyone can live in the same format, and nothing more,” Denis Shirokov believes.
From an esoteric and energetic point of view, December 31 is a neutral day and does not oblige a person to anything. So you can safely discard superstitions and close your eyes to signs – the expert advises to spend this day as you want. And if someone really needs to take up the mop on December 31, then there is nothing reprehensible in this, no matter what the signs say that cleaning supposedly on the last day of the year can “wash luck out of the house.”
“From my point of view, on this day you need to discard all the negative that you have accumulated over the year, and not drag it into the new year either in thoughts, or deeds or actions and state of mind,” the expert added.
