Homemade sugar caramel: video recipe

Homemade sweets are distinguished not only by their excellent taste, but also by the absence of harmful additives. The shelf life of homemade treats is short, but there is no need to save them for a long time. Cockerels, toffee and other sweets are eaten immediately after cooking. If there are not enough delicious sweets for everyone, just prepare another portion.

Cockerels on a stick: berry and chocolate

One of the most popular easy-to-home treats are lollipop cockerels. To prepare them, you will need silicone molds. But if they are not there, you can make round or oval candies, they will turn out to be no less tasty and beautiful.

You will need: – 1 tablespoon of honey; – 2,5 cups of sugar; – 2 tablespoons of butter; – 5 tablespoons of boiled water; – 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder; – 1 tablespoon of raspberry syrup.

Place the butter in a saucepan and melt. Add liquid honey, sugar and water. Heat the mass over low heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar dissolves. Make sure the mixture does not boil. Set aside half in another container. Pour cocoa powder into the first saucepan, add raspberry syrup to the second container. Mix everything well and continue to heat until thickened.

Pour the finished caramel into tins in the form of cockerels, stick in plastic or wooden sticks. Place the molds in the refrigerator to set. Carefully remove the finished caramels.

Sugar toffee at home

Another tasty treat can be made from sugar – homemade toffee. They can be shaped or cut into neat squares and rhombuses.

You will need: – 4 tablespoons of sugar; – 2 tablespoons of milk; – 0,25 teaspoon of vegetable oil; – 1 tablespoon seedless raisins.

Pour sugar into a saucepan, add butter and milk. While stirring, heat the mixture over medium heat until it acquires an even brown hue. Add the pre-washed and dried raisins.

Grease a baking sheet with oil and pour the sugar mixture over it. When the mass has cooled slightly, cut out figures from it with molds. Cool the toffee completely and place on a paper towel lined plate.

Homemade Kozinaki

An unusual and very simple delicacy is kozinaki made from sunflower seeds. You will need: – 100 g of butter; – 1 cup of sugar; – 5 glasses of sunflower seeds.

Kozinaki can be made from nuts or sesame seeds

Fry the peeled seeds in a dry frying pan. In a metal bowl, melt the butter, add the sugar and, stirring occasionally, heat the mixture until it turns brown. Pour the toasted seeds into a bowl, stir and pour the mixture onto a greased baking sheet. Let the kozinaki harden a little and cut them into squares or diamonds with a sharp knife.
