Recipe for strawberry liqueur with condensed milk
Ingredients:
- strawberries – 1 kg;
- vodka (alcohol 40-45%, moonshine) – 1 l;
- condensed milk – 150 ml;
- orange peel – from a third of the fruit;
- fresh mint – 1-2 leaves (optional);
- sugar – to taste.
Orange peel and mint enrich the strawberry liqueur with new notes, but you can do without them, then the taste will be more pronounced milky. Since condensed milk is sweet in itself, at the initial stage, you can not add sugar, but sweeten the already prepared liquor to taste if necessary.
Preparation
1. Remove the stalks from the strawberries, wash the berries and chop them with a blender.
2. Scald the orange with boiling water, then rinse in running water and wipe dry to remove the preservative and excess essential oils from the peel. Gently remove the zest from the fruit with a fine grater. It is important not to touch the white bitter flesh. Mint (only leaves without stems) wash and cut into small pieces.
3. Add orange zest and mint to strawberry puree. Beat again with a blender.
4. Pour in half of the condensed milk and alcohol base. Beat until smooth. Then add the remaining condensed milk and alcohol. Beat again until the liqueur becomes homogeneous. Taste the drink, sweeten with sugar if desired and whisk again.
If the blender is weak, it is better to add alcohol and condensed milk in equal parts in 3-4 calls.
5. Pour the finished liquor into bottles, close tightly. Leave for at least 2-3 hours (optimally 24 hours) to improve the taste.
Shake before serving.
