Homemade cookies are a delicate taste of baked goods that fill the apartment with the aroma of vanilla and cinnamon. This is how our grandmothers cooked, this is how our mothers cooked, this is how we cook for our children.
There are many types of homemade cookies: butter, puff, shortbread, oatmeal, chocolate, with raisins, with nuts, glazed, caramelized, even carrot. Some cooks instead of butter put margarine in the dough, others do not think of homemade baking without the smell of vanilla, others cover the cookies with their own glaze, others love to sprinkle baked goods with poppy seeds and crushed nuts. But, definitely, very tasty home-style cookies are obtained if you add cottage cheese to the dough. The fatty crumbly curd makes the cookie look like a shortbread.
To make cookies on one baking sheet, take: – 75 grams of butter; – 50 grams of sugar; – 100 grams of cottage cheese; – 125 grams of flour; – a pinch of vanillin.
Remove the oil from the refrigerator and let it sit for 10 minutes at room temperature to make it more pliable. Then grind the butter with sugar until smooth and then add cottage cheese, flour and vanillin to it. Knead the elastic dough with your hands. Put the cookie cutter in the refrigerator for a couple of hours so that it has time to set a little. Roll out the finished dough into a layer 5 mm thick.
Be careful: if you roll out the dough thicker, then it will not bake inside, and if it is thinner, it will burn.
Cut the dough into equal diamonds and place the resulting shapes on a baking sheet covered with wax paper. You can also cut figurines from the dough using a variety of molds. Feel free to involve children in this – they will definitely like it. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C and bake the cookies in it for 15-20 minutes. Sprinkle the cottage cheese biscuits with icing sugar before serving.
Such a curd dessert is best served with coffee.
