Homemade cognac from prunes (imitation on vodka, alcohol, moonshine)

Imitation of cognac taste by infusing a strong alcohol base on prunes with the addition of spices. It turns out a soft drink similar to Armenian cognacs. It will take 10-12 days to cook at home. Only the simplest ingredients are required.

For homemade cognac, homemade or purchased prunes are suitable. It is better not to use too black (treated with glycerin for long-term storage) and light brown (scalded with boiling water before drying) fruits, they are not so fragrant. The alcoholic base can be vodka, well-purified moonshine (otherwise, an unpleasant smell will remain in the finished cognac tincture) or ethyl alcohol diluted to 40-45%.

Ingredients:

  • vodka (moonshine, alcohol) – 0,5 liters;
  • prunes with a stone – 5 pieces;
  • sugar – 1 teaspoon;
  • allspice black pepper – 3 peas;
  • cloves – 1 bud;
  • vanillin – on the tip of a knife.

Spices add interesting notes of flavor to the tincture, but you can do without them. Sugar softens the taste, also optional.
