Homemade apple jam pie is a very inexpensive dessert option. Make it on the basis of butter yeast dough and garnish with classic plait, fruit or whipped egg whites. To make the cake a success, strictly follow the dough preparation technology and do not skimp on the filling.

Delicious dough is the basis of the pie

You will need: – 1 glass of milk; – 2 eggs; – 3 glasses of flour; – 2 tablespoons of butter; – 15 g dry yeast; – salt; – 4 tablespoons of sugar; – 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar.

For the dough to fit well, all ingredients must be warm to prepare it.

Heat the milk and pour it into a deep bowl. Add dry yeast, lightly beaten eggs, salt, sugar, vanilla sugar. Melt the butter and pour it into the mixture. Pour the sifted flour in portions and knead the dough. Cover the bowl with a towel and heat for 1 hour.

Try the classic version of the pie – open, garnished with a rack of dough.

You will need: – 300 g of thick apple jam; – 1 egg; – oil for lubrication; – 1 tablespoon of starch.

Cut off a portion of the dough. Roll the large one into a layer according to the size of the baking sheet. Separate a part from the smaller one and roll two thin sausages out of it. Twist them together in pigtails. Place the rolled layer on a baking sheet and sprinkle with starch. Along the edge of the crust, place a braid of dough in the form of a side.

Put apple jam on the layer, smooth its surface with a knife. Roll out the remaining dough into a thin layer, cut it into strips and place them on the pie in the form of a wire rack. To make it curly, the strips can be cut with scissors along the edges.

Another decoration option is dough leaves. Roll small pieces into elongated cakes and cut along the edges, giving them the appearance of leaves. Lay the decorations on top of the jam

Beat the egg and brush over the grate and sides of the pie. Let it rest for 15-20 minutes, and then place the baking sheet in the oven preheated to 200 degrees. Bake until golden brown, then remove from oven, place on a wooden board and cover with a towel. Serve warm or cool completely.

Apple pie with jam and whipped egg whites

You can decorate the jam pie with a fluffy cap of whipped whites, the taste will be even more delicate.

You will need: – half of the dough according to the main recipe; – 300 g of apple jam; – 2 large sweet and sour apples; – 2 egg whites; – 1 teaspoon of powdered sugar.

Prepare the dough according to the basic recipe. Separate a small part from it, roll the main mass into a layer and lay it in a round shape. Make bumpers from the remaining dough. Put the jam on the cake.

Peel the apples, remove the centers, then cut the fruit into thin slices. Lay them on the jam. Let the cake stand for 15-20 minutes and put it in the oven, preheated to 200 degrees. Bake until the apples are soft and the dough is browned. Remove the cake from the oven.

Whisk the whites with the powdered sugar into a fluffy foam and cover the surface of the dessert with it. Return the pie to the oven for a few minutes, the squirrels should take on a pleasant beige hue. Remove the baked goods, transfer to a board and cool.
