Pimples are the bane of almost all of us. They appear during almost the entire adult life of an average person. They can “jump out” at the least appropriate moment and persist for several days. Most often, we deal with them by hiding their presence under makeup, or simply squeezing them out when they are sufficiently developed. However, many people are looking for more effective ways to deal with unwanted pimples. Below we present the most popular home remedies for pimples that will help you get rid of them quickly and painlessly.
What are pimples?
Pimples, professionally called pustules, are a condition associated primarily with adolescence. However, this is not entirely true. Although pimples and acne are most common and abundant in young people, adults and the elderly also suffer from them. Pimples can appear almost throughout adulthood, although the severity of the condition tends to decrease over time.
Pimples occur regardless of our dermatological predispositions, such as skin type, blood supply, condition of blood vessels. Their main place of occurrence is the face – forehead, nose, cheeks, chin – and the immediate area of the face. However, pimples can also appear elsewhere in the skin. Full healing of a pimple usually takes several days, in the most difficult cases even more than a week.
Pimples are associated with acne, a dermatological disease affecting the sebaceous glands of the skin. Pimples are particularly severe in areas with a large number of sebaceous glands such as the face, chest, and back. Acne is the enlargement of these glands and the excess production of sebum. The excess sebum escapes through the tubing, which can become clogged. When the exit route is blocked, sebum builds up under the top layer of the skin. Then the so-called blackhead is formed, in which the sebum and keratin create conditions conducive to the growth of bacteria.
The bacteria feed on the mixed sebum with keratin. By digesting this mixture, they break it down into finer elements such as free fatty acids. They are responsible for causing inflammation of the skin. When the amount of sebaceous secretion increases and its outlet remains obstructed, the “pouch” filled with sebum may rupture. Its contents spread to adjacent tissues, causing inflammation of the skin.

Homemade and proven remedies for pimples
The most common way to get rid of a pimple is to squeeze it out. Contrary to appearances, this is not the best solution, and in many cases, juicing is not recommended. In place of a pimple removed in this way, new ones can easily appear. Therefore, it is worthwhile to find out about different and more effective ways to get rid of them.
Cinnamon-honey paste is the first of the recommended methods. You can make the paste yourself very easily. Just put honey and cinnamon in one bowl, and then mix them until you get a substance with a homogeneous consistency. We apply this paste to the area of the skin where the pimples appeared. We can also spread the paste on our skin, creating a mask. Both of the ingredients used are natural antibiotics, the action of which should weaken the pimple by reducing its volume. Wearing such a mask at night, for several nights in a row, should painlessly eliminate an unwanted pimple.
Garlic wrap is another popular method. Garlic is also a natural antibiotic that can help fight pimples. Its use is very simple. Peel one clove of garlic, cut it in half, and then put it on the spot where the pimple appears. After about 15 minutes, the skin should absorb the natural antibacterial substances found in the garlic juice. This method should be used daily for about 15 minutes until the pimple is gone.

Tomatoes can also help fight acne. Their composition includes lycopene – a substance with extensive health effects, as well as various acids that will help dry the pimple. To take advantage of these natural properties, crush one fresh tomato in a dish and place the pulp on the skin. After about 15 minutes, wash your face.
Turmeric and coconut oil can also help. Turmeric has a natural antibacterial effect, and also has a health-promoting effect on the skin. You should mix a pinch of turmeric with coconut oil and then place it on the skin where it is affected by the pimple.
Fruit can also help. Especially citrus, which contains numerous natural nutrients and vitamins. To take advantage of their influence, squeeze a little juice – for example from one orange – soak a cotton pad with it, and then put it on the spot affected by the pimple. Do not cover the entire face with citrus juice as it dries out the skin. This property is great for fighting a pimple, but it is not good for healthy tissues.
