Home Anywhere by Lynn Martin

Traveling around the world today does not surprise anyone. Even if this trip is around the world, and even if it lasts for many months. But, you see, it is difficult to imagine a lover of such wanderings as a deep pensioner. Former journalist Lynn and her husband, writer Tim Martin, were in their late 70s when they decided to sell their house, give away everything (a small warehouse was rented for the most memorable) and start living a nomadic life – not for a year or two – for the rest of a life. Reasonably managing their income (pension payments and investment income), they rent houses and apartments in Europe, Africa or America, travel by car and feel great. Describing her experience, risky but inspiring, Lynn remarks: “The wandering life has taught us not to put off anything for later, except for one thing – not to feel like old people for as long as possible.” Of course, such radical changes are not for everyone. But there is always a way to find the right way to live life to the fullest, the way we like it.
