The film industry was taking huge strides, and the inscription was increasingly associated with the Hollywood studio. Thanks to this, it remained in its original place.
A series of tragic events since 1932 revolved around the sign. They crashed into it in a car, jumped from the structure itself. And for some reason, most of the injuries went to the letter H!
It was decided to give the Sign for reconstruction, and at the same time, the sign lost some of its letters, taking on the familiar, for modern people, look – Hollywood.
After the next installation, the structure lost its original appearance before our eyes, its fragments deteriorated and fell. Salvation came from the musician Cooper, who not only invested his money in a new reconstruction of the inscription, but also attracted many sponsors.
The work was made of steel, which meant that the inscription had a long existence. The restored “sign” was opened publicly, and shortly before that it was recognized as a historical monument.

The legendary film studio appeared on the site of an agricultural ranch. The area began to be built up with sites, restaurants and cafes for the film crew. Many screenwriters and people working on the film stayed overnight in this area.
Over time, Hollywood became so famous that not only world-class stars lived there, but also visiting tourists tried to see such a significant and grandiose place of their idols.
The most popular area is called Beverly Hills. It contains incredibly expensive and luxurious houses, a TV series was filmed about it. Today Hollywood has not only film studios, but also record companies. It is home to hundreds of thousands of residents, but once upon a time they wanted to remove the “inscription on the hill”.
Who knows, Hollywood would have been revived without such a business card, or it would have remained “dreams” for millions of people.
And this is just one example of how an unremarkable area in a huge city gained fame, which does not fade to this day. Many consider Hollywood to be something that has always been, and do not even suspect about such a difficult and fascinating history of the fashionable area.
