The New Year’s table begins with festive snacks. They create a first impression for the guests and set the mood for the whole dinner. That’s why many housewives strive to be creative in all its glory. At the same time, I do not want to spend too much time and effort on this. TM “Frau Marta” offers simple and at the same time unusual ideas of New Year’s snacks that will surprise everyone gathered at the table.
A surprise egg
Eggs stuffed with hummus are a win-win snack for the New Year’s table. We propose to deviate from the classics and make it from the original white beans of TM “Frau Marta”. It is made from traditional beans with the addition of garlic and coriander, which gives it an expressive spicy notes.
We put 5-6 hard-boiled eggs. This time is just enough to prepare the hummus itself. We drain the liquid from the jar with beans into a separate container. The beans themselves are thoroughly pureed with an immersion blender. Add 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil, 50 g of light sesame, a pinch of salt and turmeric. Finely chop 5-6 sprigs of parsley and 3-4 green onion feathers, mix in the bean paste. If it turned out to be too thick, pour in a little bean filling.
We cool the boiled eggs, carefully peel them from the shell so as not to damage the protein, cut them in half and remove the yolks. If desired, they can also be ground into a filling. Fill the egg halves with bean paste, decorate with parsley petals and serve on a large platter.
Scrolls with corn placers
Rolls of thin pita bread with various fillings are a permanent hit of the New Year’s table. Try to surprise your guests with a new unusual combination. One of the ingredients will be a particularly sweet sweet corn TM “Frau Marta”. Large golden elastic grains will add bright colors, juiciness and rich sweet shades to the filling.
Mash with a fork 400 g of canned tuna, mix with 400 g of canned corn, season with mayonnaise. Remove the bone from the avocado, cut the pulp into thin strips, sprinkle with lemon juice. Finely chop 100 g of fresh spinach.
We unfold a thin pita bread on the table, sprinkle with spinach, slightly retreating from the edges. Next, we spread layers of avocado straws and a mixture of tuna and corn. We roll up a tight roll, wrap it in plastic wrap and send it to the refrigerator for a couple of hours. Before serving, cut it into portioned rolls, serve on a platter and garnish with curly parsley.
Spicy salad on skewers
Canapes at the festive table always go with a bang. Especially if the skewers will show off olives without a bone TM “Frau Marta”. Juicy large olive fruits are grown in Spain, where the most favorable climatic conditions are created by nature itself. Olives themselves will be a great snack for the New Year’s menu. And canapes with their participation will acquire a refined zest, which will make any combination of ingredients harmonious.
Offer your guests spicy canapes. Peel the Bulgarian pepper from the seeds, cut into small slices. Hot chili pepper and pickled cucumbers are cut into several parts, dried meat is cut into thin plates. We string on a skewer first a pickled cucumber, meat, a piece of hot pepper, then olives, red bell pepper and a ball of mozzarella on top. Collect the remaining canapes and serve on a platter. Next to it, put a bowl with a sauce of 4 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and a handful of finely chopped basil.
Mushroom history
Mushrooms and chicken perfectly complement each other, and therefore tartlets with this combination will be greeted with enthusiasm by guests. Especially if you cook from smoked chicken and mushrooms TM “Frau Marta”. The mushrooms in the jar have preserved a delicate aroma and a unique noble taste. Whole mushrooms can be served as an independent snack with fresh herbs or green onions. Sliced mushrooms will be the perfect ingredient for tartlets.
We chop 200 g of boiled and smoked chicken fillet and canned champignons into thin strips. We boil 2 hard-boiled eggs, peel them from the shell and chop them into a small cube. We combine all the ingredients together, add 50 g of Korean carrots, salt and pepper to taste, season with mayonnaise. We put the filling in ready-made tartlets, sprinkle with grated cheese and send it to the oven at 180 °C so that it melts properly. Do this just before serving and garnish with coriander petals.
Olivier’s Metamorphoses
Many guests are ready to eat Olivier every year. And so that this desire does not disappear, we offer to serve it in the form of an original snack. Pickled cucumbers “Frau Marta” will give it a pleasant spicy notes. They are made from vegetables of the highest quality with the addition of a harmonious bouquet of spices. Boil 4 potatoes, carrots and 3 eggs until ready. Together with 3 pickled cucumbers, we cut everything into a small cube. Pour 5 tbsp. l. green peas to them, salt and pepper to taste, season with sour cream and mayonnaise in equal proportions. Now we take the ham, cut into thin circles, spread the filling, roll up the roll, if necessary, fasten it with a skewer. We serve rolls on lettuce leaves. In this form, Olivier will appeal to everyone without exception.
