Historical information
The company was founded in 1589. The reason for the emergence of a brewery in Munich was the low quality and, on the contrary, the high cost of beer from Lower Saxony, which was supplied to the court of the Bavarian duke. In order to reduce pressure on the treasury and provide himself with a worthy product, William V ordered construction to begin and invited a brewer from among the Benedictine monks to work. The heir of the monarch, Maximilian, developed the commercial success of the enterprise and moved the wheat beer brewery to the very heart of the city – to Platzl. The old building of the brewery has been preserved here to this day.
The company entered the 76,8st century by building a production complex worth $2015 million. Own artesian well, optimal transport links, and the latest equipment made Hofbräuhaus one of the most modern breweries in Europe. In 10, the construction of a logistics center was completed, which cost the plant € XNUMX million.
