Cosmetology in the XNUMXst century is undergoing a real revolution. Cosmetics manufacturers are increasingly boldly using the achievements of science and ingredients known to medicine for a long time. Therefore, the preparations available on the market contain innovative active ingredients that are much more effective. What are the ingredients? We present some of them.
- Stem cells. For the production of cosmetics, stem cells obtained from plants such as roses are most often used. Stem cells differ from ordinary ones in their ability to divide in a huge number of ways. Another ability is the creation of living cells right after the previous ones have finished dividing (usually most cells die after dividing several times). It is thanks to such abilities of stem cells that our body regenerates faster and has the strength to resist harmful external factors.
- Collagen biospheres. When there is a lack of collagen in the skin, wrinkles form. It is a connective tissue protein responsible for skin firmness and elasticity. On the other hand, collagen biospheres are molecules that penetrate the epidermis and significantly increase their volume there, which effectively corrects imperfections and eliminates wrinkles.
- Aquaporin proteins. The 2003 Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded for the discovery of aquaporins. It has been proven that aquaporins are extremely important for the body’s water management. Aquaporin proteins build channels in cell membranes that enable the efficient flow of water between individual cells, and thus organs. The more aquaporin proteins there are in the body, the more its hydration proceeds properly, which makes us feel healthy and the skin looks perfectly smooth and moisturized.
- Vitamin C only stabilized.Vitamin C has been known in medicine for a very long time. Now it’s also in creams. Such a treatment was possible thanks to its stabilization, i.e. preventing disintegration under the influence of temperature and air. However, in order for it to be included in creams, it was necessary to create its carrier that selects only living cells found in elastin and collagen fibers. Scientists were able to produce special liposomes, microscopic in size, which transport vitamin C deep into the skin so that it can work effectively there. Thanks to this action, the production of collagen fibers is significantly stimulated, which means that wrinkles are smoothed out, furrows are filled and discoloration disappears.
- Bioactive amino acids or peptides. These are extremely small particles that are designed to smooth the skin and eliminate wrinkles. Without much difficulty, they can penetrate into the deep layers of the skin, and there stimulate the work of cells responsible for the production of collagen and elastin as well as hyaluronic acid. They also have the ability to “stop” muscle cells from excessive contraction, thanks to which wrinkles, especially mimic ones, do not deepen. When choosing a peptide cream, always pay attention to the enclosed leaflet. Because, for example, if a cosmetic contains the so-called It will protect the skin from harmful external factors. When the composition of the cream includes lipopeptides, it will stimulate the renewal of collagen and elastin fibers. And if the cosmetic contains gamma-aminobutridic acid, its effect will be very similar to Botox. If you notice retinopeptides on the label, they, in turn, strengthen the firmness and elasticity of the skin, also improve the contour of the face and the structure of the epidermis.
For curiosity: the best creams for the summer are those that contain, for example, almond oil, grape seed oil or avocado oil, as they prevent the epidermis from peeling, thanks to which the skin retains its moisture, is not susceptible to drying and dehydration.
