Hermann gas equipment is designed for heating large areas. Double-circuit units additionally supply housing with hot water. The equipment is equipped with convenient control with a display. When a malfunction occurs in the system, a code is displayed on the screen that indicates the cause of the breakdown. We will list all the error codes of the Herman gas boiler in the table.
Features of operation
The design of the boiler may differ depending on the series. So, the Habitat double-circuit device (Habitat 2) can heat an area of up to 280 m², while it has compact dimensions.
Ignition occurs automatically, the boiler is equipped with sensors to protect against draft disturbance, overheating, flame extinction. The equipment reacts to voltage drops: at the same time, the automation is activated and the fuel stops flowing into the burner.
The Micra series (Micra 2) also belongs to the dual-circuit types. The secondary heat exchanger allows you to heat water for hot water supply (DHW). Adjustment of settings is mechanical, the body has a wall-mounted arrangement. There is a flame control, ignition.
From the new line, the Herman Thesi 23 E models are presented. The power of the equipment is 30 kW, and the throughput is 17 liters per minute. These boiler models have automatic make-up function, which turns on at reduced pressure.
Fault codes
The manufacturer indicates the decoding of symbols in the instructions for the model. But it is not always clear to the user. Therefore, we will reveal the meaning of the errors and tell you how to perform an independent repair.

E01 | No flame. | If the flame goes out after ignition, try again by pressing the “Reset” button. Open the gas valve all the way. Make sure the live and neutral connections are correctly positioned. It is possible to unbalance the “neutral”: in this case, the burner lights up normally, but the system “does not see” the flame. In this case, error 01 occurs. |
E02 | The overheating protection has tripped. | Switch off the appliance, let it cool down. Then repeat ignition. If nothing happens, contact a specialist. |
E03 | The exhaust gas sensor has tripped. | Reverse thrust is possible with a gust of wind, which leads to the inclusion of protection. Re-ignite the burner with the “Reset” button. Check the chimney shaft. If soot and debris have accumulated there, it is necessary to clean it. |

Often, users of Hermann boilers complain that when switching from the “winter” mode to the “summer” mode, the equipment does not switch to water heating. In the “winter” mode, the system does not turn on the hot tap, so the pump works for heating without stopping. The reason is the flow sensor, which, when the water is turned on, sends a signal to the control board. When changing modes, switch slowly and carefully.
