- “Meadow”. Height 5-11 cm. Leaves are rich green, rarely purple, oval. The flowers are paired. Flowering time is mid-autumn.
- “Sino-decorated”. Height 10-15 cm. Leaves are thin and long. The flowers are large, dark blue with white stripes. Blooms all summer.
- “Arteus”. Height 10-15 cm. Leaves are narrow, densely cover the stem. The flowers are large, funnel-shaped, dark purple in color. Flowering time is the beginning of autumn.
- “Capitate”. Height up to 30 cm. Leaves are large, long, with a sharp tip. The flowers are pinkish-blue, collected in pairs. Blooms in early autumn.
- “Black-leaved”. Height 5-7 cm. Leaves are oval. Flowers of a deep blue hue, patterned. Blooms in mid-autumn.
- “Solidifying”. Height – 30-50 cm. The leaves are elongated. The flowers are light purple, collected in groups. Flowering time is the end of summer.

Rules for planting and caring for gentian outdoors
The whole difficulty of growing this plant lies in choosing the right place. This should be an area with nutritious clay soil. It should allow moisture to pass through well. Most plants of this species prefer slightly acidic soil. Also, the site should be well lit. Only for varieties that bloom in May or September, partial shade is allowed.
Plant in late April or late September. Plant each grain in a separate hole. Just 1 sq. m of land can be planted about 20 seeds. To increase the number of shoots, pour a little bone meal or limestone into the holes before planting.
In winter, without shelter, the plant can tolerate extremely low temperatures.
Water the grass as needed. The land should be constantly moist, but not swampy. There is no need to feed or trim this plant. With the right amount of watering, diseases or pests will not appear.
Planting a gentian is straightforward. Caring for her is just as easy. While this flower is not very common in the gardens of our country, but it is rapidly gaining popularity.
