The causes of hemorrhage from external varicose veins

The most common causes of external variceal hemorrhage are:

  1. mechanical trauma of the place where varicose changes are located,
  2. intensifying leg ulcers (most often varicose and thrombotic),
  3. inflammatory and thrombotic changes in the area of ​​varicose veins,
  4. insect bites at the site of varicose veins with subsequent purulent and inflammatory conditions and ulceration,
  5. very high pressure in varicose veins due to prolonged standing, walking or chronic circulatory failure.

First aid for hemorrhage from external varicose veins

In the course of external varicose haemorrhage:

  1. put a tourniquet below bleeding varicose veins,
  2. apply a sterile pressure dressing at the site of bleeding,
  3. place the patient in a supine position with a raised leg in order to relieve the venous system of the lower extremities,
  4. call a doctor or transport the patient to hospital.

Prophylactically, it is worth drinking VEIN – herbal tea that supports the functioning of the circulatory system, improves the flexibility and condition of the veins and capillaries. It is also worth using hemp milk for varicose veins, which has a positive effect on the condition of the veins and skin.
