The woman was shocked by what had happened.
At the beginning of last autumn, 26-year-old Desiree Hobbins, who lives in the Canadian city of Saskatoon, lost her beloved cat Zappi. She posted ads in the neighborhood, looked for a pet on her own, interviewed neighbors, but in the end she became desperate.
After a while, her friends saw the post on social networks. It said that not far from the house, Desiree would find dead a ginger cat, incredibly similar to her Zappi. The girl came to look at the body and identified it.
“I was on my way to a yoga class. Friends called, said they saw the post on the network. We compared the photos, there was no doubt. All marks on the body indicated that it was my Zappi. People put it in a box wrapped in a velvet dress, “- quoted by the words of Desiree Daily Star.
Hobbins decided to cremate the animal. She mourned the loss for a long time. However, nine months later, representatives of the animal protection organization contacted the girl. They noted that they had found her missing cat. The pet was alive and well. The only thing was that he did not have one tooth.
“I check my Instagram and see a message from Regina Cat Rescue. They write that they found my cat. I answer: “No, it can’t be, I cremated him.” I thought that they had found the wrong cat, but how would they then know my name and the nickname of the cat? It turned out that Regina Cat Rescue employees had discovered it by a microchip. There can be no mistake. I couldn’t believe it was my Zappi. It turns out that I cremated someone else’s animal, ”explained Hobbins.
The girl is happy that everything ended well. She continues to delight subscribers with new frames with a pet. Desiree thanks fate for being alive and well.
